Very unique ball

When i first got these my main concern wasn't so much juggling them as it was setting them under a nice bright light so that later when it got dark i could see them glow. getting them out and having a feel the first thing i noticed was how unique and almost odd these balls felt in my hand. because of the thick silkscreen(at least i assume that's what was used to make the star pattern) the balls have a semi rough texture. when i was just holding them in my hands i wasn't sure whether or not i liked the rougher texture. however, once i started juggling them i immediately understood that it was a good thing. the roughness of the thick silkscreen gives these balls great grip and makes them great for just about any juggling, not just juggling in the dark. the description says loose filled, however they are not quite as loosely filled as the studded 2.45" soft hybrids. but they are more loosely filled than traditional hybrids so i'd say that the feel as far as that goes is pretty much a cross between the two. i can see them loosening up more and more tho as the silkscreen starts to get broken in and soften up some.

ok so now for the real reason you're probably reading the review for the GLOW in the dark balls. lol after my initial experiences with these i laid them on the table by my bed and shined the brightest light on them that i had. this was at about 3 in the afternoon so it wasn't really dark enough for me to see how well they glowed, so i decided to just leave them there. i turned them and moved them around some and also juggled them in the bright lights just to make sure that all the sides would be as closed to evenly "charged" as possible. the moment of truth rolls around. it's about 6 in the evening and it's dark outside. i turn the lights off and then shut my tv off. "WOW!" the exact word exclaimed by both me and my roommate at the same time. these balls lit up the table. i could see all of the night table and everything on it just from the glow of these 7 balls. i picked them up and began juggling and was amazed at how great they looked in the air. the bright green classic "glow in the dark" color showed up so well and as long as you're a decent juggler you will have no problem keeping a pattern going in the dark. these balls are definitely a must have for anyone that performs in a night club or outside at night. they would also make a great addition to an evil clown act at a haunted house. not only that they make a great addition to just about any jugglers collection as they're not only great for entertaining, but also very nice balls to juggle. after juggling them for about 30 mins the glow had faded some, but the still shone bright as could be. after turning the lights on i couldn't help but think it a fluke. maybe leaving them under such bright light so long was the only reason they had such a great glow. to confirm(or deny) my theory i put them into a black bag and wrapped them up in a blanket and left them there. the next night i turned the light on in my room and took them out of the bag and just juggled them for a total of 15 minutes. to my surprise when i turned out the lights out. the balls shined just as brightly as they had the previous night. i was shocked, these truly are some of the best glow in the dark props i think i've ever used or seen.

right now i'm working on getting a picture of how well these glow(i don't have a very good camera so it could take a while) so that people can see the glow before they buy these amazing in the dark props.

i think the only reason i give these 4 stars and not 5 is because i think that after some use and abuse(and maybe some drops on rough surfaces) that the silkscreen on these balls may begin to crack ad peel some, but it's definitely not a factor to not get these. as long as you take good care of these and pay attention to where and how you juggle i think that these balls will last(and glow) for many a year. another great prop from flying clipper
